Embarking on the Next Steps of Mobilise-D

McRoberts integrates the Mobilise-D algorithm for computing Digital Mobility Outcomes in its analytics pipeline for use in clinical trials and healthcare.

The Hague - 1 October 2024. With the recent conclusion of the Mobilise-D project, McRoberts is now ready to take the next steps: facilitating the adoption of the Mobilise-D Digital Mobility Outcomes (DMOs) in healthcare and clinical trials. They have integrated the Mobilise-D algorithm into their analytics pipeline, enabling them to offer the 25 Mobilise-D measures to their clients. This enhancement allows McRoberts to process and analyze both newly collected data and existing mobility datasets.

Their five-year involvement in the project has equipped the long-standing company with extensive experience and the necessary tools to support clients in exploiting these advancements in digital health technology. McRoberts role within Mobilise-D was to provide wearable sensors, to facilitate sensor data collection and to analyse the mobility data using their MoveMonitor and MoveTest algorithms.

Validated measures, a framework for implementation, and maturing technology will drive the revolution of digital biomarkers in studies. Because of Mobilise-D, these conditions have been established for implementing daily-life mobility assessment in studies. Over 20,000 measurements were collected and processed using our technology during the Mobilise-D project, so we're well equipped to embark on the next steps."

Randomized controlled trials are essential to uncover the full potential of the Mobilise-D DMOs. Questions such as "Are DMOs sensitive to change?" and "Can DMOs predict relevant medical outcomes?" can and should now be addressed as we progress toward regulatory qualification for use in healthcare and clinical trials.
